Bogan HDV501 or HDV503 for XH-A1s?

I'm looking to update the tripod head. Looking at either HDV501 or HDV503. Price is almost double on HDV503. Is it too way or overkill to use HDv503 on XH-A1? What's your suggestion?

Well I've got both and they both do the job just fine. In use I can't tell the difference.

Have a 501HDV and Love it! Well worth the change and don't worry 'bout buying the 503HDV you can use it then with a larger camera if you upgrade

Currently I have Bogen 501. Hopefully the 503HDV will be an upgrade. But sadly others said there isn't much difference

the HDV additions add quite a bit so really it is an upgrade

Strange -- has anyone else had this problem? After reading this thread I just bought the Bogen501HDV with the Manfrotto 190CX3 tripod made out of 100 percent carbon fiber. It arrived last nite. The tripod feels nice but there must be microscopic fibers on it because immediately after setting up I felt a burning in my hands and they feel slightly swollen. I am not a person prone to rashes or allergies. Something about that carbon fiber seems to be doing something nasty.
Has anybody else experienced this with carbon fiber tripods? Is it something I might fix with a good washing of the tripod legs? Otherwise I am going to return everything and buy a (more expensive) Libec LS-38.
