Hey crew. We were on a shot today and the DP accidentally formatted an 8GB p2 card erasing all of the client's footage. I searched the forums for recovery software. We got card recovery http://www.cardrecovery.com/ and it actually retrieved the exact amount of footage we shot about 7.45 GB.
Now, when we opened the folder all the files were bmp. Each bmp file was the size of a typical footage shot ranging from 200mb to 300mb etc. So I am assuming that it recovered the mxf but it had to convert it to bmp since it didn't reconize the file. We don't need the audio files since all the footage was MOS. Now is there any way to convert the bmp files to mov. or avi or back to mxf? Thank you in advance.
