blotches on my FD

been having some unusual blotches, 2 round black, infact appearing in the lcd viewfinder of my GH1 everytime I place my 35mm FD lens.In some other FD lenses it does not happen.I thought at first it was the lens or camera but when I switched to other lenses like a leica or the kit lens, it disappears. The funny part is I have another 35mm the older FD with a ring lock, the same problem occurs, and the blotches reapear....so I ask myself, whats with the 35mm. The blotches are recorded and appears in the clips

anybody experienced the same thing? Its realy weird but it is there....

I tried it with my second GH1 and the blotches reappears with the same 35mm lenses; I even changed the adapters.....very strange indeed.Any answers? solutions?

throw up a pic. sounds like something from the xfiles.....man im old.

are the blotches in the exact same position from both 35 lenses?

Have you examined the lenses closely to see if there is any fud in the lens? A small spec of dirt or fungus in the wrong place will do this.

yes its in the exact same place....but what is the likelihood that it appears in both lenses, and in both cameras. It does sound like an xfile report...let me send a clip

Some older film lenses don't do well on digital cameras. Shooting a roll of film with a Canon SLR would tell you if there really is a problem with the lenses or if it is just not suitable for digital.

yes ,thats what I thought, the lenses looks clear, no fungus etc. will have them checked anyway to make sure, its like a bug which exists with the camera and a specific lens together.

well, it must be be some kind of bug then...

saw 2 points in the film back plate

I think it is the 2 dust points in the film back plate in otherwords the sensor, I will try to get a swab later..that might have been the problem all along....
