BLOODMONEY trailer shot w/ EX1

I'm certainly in opposition to the subject matter. Feels more like a powerful strike from pro-life extremists (they certainly have the resources to do it, having twice as many clinics as abortion clinics do). The film seems to play too heavily on the pathos. "Abortion, to me, is the ultimate exploitation of women." It really pains me to hear women themselves say things like this.

Anyway, instead of writing an essay about why the right to abortion is necessary and how media and conflicted fundamentalists confuse young girls and distort their actual situation (not to mention the white, patriarchal conservatism behind it all), I'll say that the film looks to be adequately shot.

Also, (sorry, just can't help it) the line about scientists being in agreement that "concept" begins the life of a human being is distorted and, quite frankly, false. Many physicians would disagree with that quote as well (and that's coming from interviews collected from physicians who don't represent a repressive, patriarchal strain of fear-mongering doctors).

Sorry about that. Just a very sensitive subject and one that I've put a lot of time and effort into researching. Good luck with the film.

One last thing: Planed Parenthood isn't expanding into "gigantic abortion clinics," but rapidly losing funding. Now I'm done. Sorry.

Claiming that Anti Abortion is strictly a Christian, White, Paternal ,Conservative movement is simply not accurate. Thats just more jingoism being used to replace actual debate.
While I don't want to see womens' access to decent medical care removed by outlawing abortion, the fact remains that 98% of abortions occur because the childs life is inconveinent to the parent(s). There have been 78 million abortions since roe v wade. You don't have to be anti abortion to have those figures give you pause.
Besides...Unborn Children don't choose to die.

One reason Planned parenthood is losing funding (like other abortion clinics) is because of reduced demand. Fear of death by Sex has resulted in more people actually using birth control. The depiction of Planned Parenthood as strictly an abortion clinic is also untrue. Believe it or not, they offer counseling to make sure the woman really knows what she is getting into. Many times, they change their mind and keep the child.

We've all been victimized by hollywoods depiction of this mess.

btw, the original conditions surrounding roe v wade was that the child would be unviable outside the womb, the ruling was not intended to make killing unborn children legal without any preconditions attached.

I honestly didnt like it. It actually bored me..about 5seconds in i knew it was going to be a preview on a real biased documentary. Then when it said 'You Need To See This Movie' it made me X out of it.

I'm not going to comment on the subject matter... But overall the editing, photography, music, etc. were very good in my opinion.

I think it's great. People are reacting to the subject matter. I happen to agree with the stance of the film, but even apart from that it seems very well made with beautiful shots. Keep fighting the good fight friend.
