F35: Blackmagic video assist?

Yes I saw that, sorry I know it's a bit lazy, should have trawled through it all again!
Even that 300-800 is not that strong when shooting wary wildlife - right from Super 16 and through Varicam etc. the standard has been around 600mm, so with Super 35 the equivalent magnification needs about 1500mm! Super 35 makes a lot of sense for a lot of people, but not so much in wildlife or sports IMO.

Yes strongly considering it and been poking around on a few for sale here on DVX and rental houses in L.A. area. For me the F35 is more a personal sort of project. As MacGregor put it "for birthdays and weddings".

anybody knows.. Can you record 422 1080p50 0n 9000PL with installed HD_SDI card ..with BMVA ???

Thanks for reply

There should be no reason why not - SRW9000 can have the SDI configured as 1.5g or 3g in the menus. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work - but you never know with these combinations.

I'm not saying I've tested it, but if you have the 3G option on the 9000PL then it will work with the BMVA. The BMVA is 6G over single cable. You'll get 1080p 50p 422 10-bit.

really nice, if the screen is as good as the 5" it'll be an amazing tool. I prefer 5" screens though. 7 and 9 are a bit too bully for on camera monitors.

jesus what are you shooting… the constellation of Cygnus?

By the way you saw this post right? http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?345168-recorder-options-for-F35

worth noting thats a little out of date, the pix240i will do up to 30fps at 444 with a multiplexer. I picked up a pix off ebay for $900, thing is freaking bullet proof, combined it with a black magic adapter and it makes a super nice picture. also super nice to have working XLR audio inputs

I picked a 240 non i and I can't get 444 12bit with the BlackMagic Multiplexer 4K. Did you figure this out? Last Firmware installed. Yes, it's a beast, but it's totally bullet proof. And those big chunky buttons... better than any touch screen IMO.
