Blackmagic press conference on Thursday, March 2nd, 12.00pm PST

Any links so I can see some of the work with it? Any notes you can make about lighting for it, best ISO you shoot it at, lenses, etc.? The price certainly is appealing for it. I watched the Tom Antos videos/reviews on YouTube and it looks intriguing.

Shot with Sigma 18-35, 50-100, firecrest NDs. Searles commercial was HMIs/kinos inside, I think ISO 400/800.

Tiffen diffusion filters on the 'Goodstart' spots, I don't know which ones.

Nicely done, great production values. Personally, the super low contrast, diffused look with the pastel colors on the Goodstart spots are not my favorite but the other spots all look super clean and well executed, the blacks, colors and especially the skin tones look good to me. The Ursa Mini is obviously capable of excellent looking images when lit correctly.

Glad to see some great work being done on the Ursa Mini 4.6k. I, too, really liked the colors it produces...makes me like my Sony skin tones even less :)

I don't think anyone has ever announced a camera that started shipping immediately. There is always a brief wait for a pre-order and then there is a wait for the product to be released and to start shipping. Whether it's a month before NAB, at NAB, or whenever in the space-time continuum, it doesn't matter.

Why announce a new camera even more prematurely?
Turned the live stream on - it says "camera and Da Vinci Resolve press conference". About 15 minutes in - though they had a short clip preview - it's on the Resolve, with Petty himself on the mic. New control panel via USB-3.

And it's not really premature, if there are a lot of announcements. It's like the Oscars - you don't reveal the winners two minutes in and go home. You spread the joy around.

It's fine; been like this for 3 years in the other cameras. Never heard a peep from anyone regarding this.

I think I just found my next camera. Really impressed with what Blackmagic has done in the short time they've been making cameras.
