Yes, please. Perfect ratio 1.18:1 (2592 x 2192) for 2X anamorphic (suddenly it's 5K). I wonder if sensor is capable of 24fps in full un-cropped square mode. Or is it more like 17fps... But they could do smaller near-square AOI then - for higher fps.
The news of this camera made me pretty unproductive at work today.
Rolling shutter test over a CMOS sensor as usual (Pedro Guimarães tweeted something negative about), as well, available light night shots, checking extreme moiré pattern where aliasing might be present going with an higher native resolution and skin tones.Yes. I've got time on the weekend. I'll try to do something. What do we want to see ?

Muddy/noisy blacks mainly. Low dr for a sensor of that size.
Meaning?
Are you referring to graded pre-recorded footage, or live RAW-to-SDI? Either one of which could be set up badly/inappropriately or from prototype camera hardware/firmware. Not doubting what you saw, but some qualifications of your comments would be welcome.
Compared to similarly-priced cameras? Can you put your comments in context?
It's literally made me stop working. I'm just trolling hoping a sample .DNG will pop up somewhere!
I haven't been this excited since Juan announced the Hydra.
They do it just costs $45KDear Canon,
Make a fast cinema friendly zoom to bundle with this camera.
Thanks

Ha!!!
That's what I feel like - it's finally here and no one can take it away from us!
Also - Juan come back! All is forgiven...
The sensor size is what it is. It doesn't need to be bigger or smaller. In the past, many cinematographers worked hard as hell to get greater DOF, especially when shooting with high-speed primes at night, where DOF could be a couple of inches. The sensor is large enough to achieve relatively shallow DOF when using a wide aperture and a somewhat longer lens. The rest is up to you. But if you must always have razor-thin DOF, this camera may not be for you.In short, on one hand, DOF should be reduced a lot - don't be mislead by some of the long lens shots in the samples. On the other hand, we already hear they are having some trouble with noise in low light situations.
We are getting some things that we need, but let's not forget about what we got in the past. At least in my case, I think I need a bigger sensor. Small DOF and low light performance are very important to me. I do want to love this camera because it could be the perfect upgrade from my T2i without jumping to the 5k price range. But that small sensor is really annoying me!
Please do correct me if i'm wrong, I wish I am.
