Looks interesting, although SSD drives are not cheap and have some problems. I wonder if this a a plug and play, or if formatting the drives will be a pain. Check Newegg reviews to see the problems some are having with these drives. And the 10-bit won't help us for the moment.
 
I was under the impression that ssd drives were the safest bet with no moving parts.

What are the problems you are referring to? if you don't mind me asking.

My $.02. At this price point, if your system can handle uncompressed, most of the reasons for shooting with an external recorder are removed. I know powering it will be an issue and so will playback, but cost doesn't really seem to be a problem with something like this. If this unit turns out to be relatively defect free, Black Magic just really stuck a knife in a few companies' plans.
