Birger Mount for M43 Cameras and Canon Lenses! Available May 2011

Got to use a prototype of the mount this week at NAB. This is the one you want. Others may do the job, but this is the one that you want, because it does a lot more than control iris! Was quite impressed with the Birger mount for the AF100 (and it will work on the GH2/GH1 as well, etc). Looking forward to seeing one with full camera integration, but even the limited-functionality prototype I got to use was very impressive.

The Birger adapter has been scheduled for release in "late May". That's direct from Erik Widding of Birger. They are not in a race to get the first adapter out, they are instead attempting to release in mass quantity through a worldwide network of professional dealers. They're not going to get caught up in the situation of selling directly off their website and taking pre-orders, they're going to produce them in quantity and release them simultaneously, globally. And that is all currently scheduled to happen in "late May".

From what I saw of it, it'll be worth it.
