Big Operation time issue

I got an issue with my HMC. The Operation time, that was 20h last week, is now indicating 06746h!!!

A friend used it last weekend and filmed with it for about 5 hours. It was figure skating.

Am I the only one with this issue and is it possible to do something with that? Is it a problem with cold temperature?

Ahah!

Calculate it. If the cam would have been on all the time for a week. 24h a day, it would have given 168 hours.

But he had it for 5 days, so it gives 120 hours.

So, even if he was lying (it was not the case), it would be technically impossible.

I have the cam since mid January. 2 months with the camera on 24h a day would gives me 1728h.

But it was 20 hours last Thursday.

6746 hours gives 281 days (last June). The HMC wasn't even available!!

Honestly. Firmware is just software, it has got problems too. Maybe you found a bug somewhere. I never checked the operation time of my HMC, maybe I should ;)

Yes, maybe it's a bug. I upgraded to the latest firmware 1.19 when it was released.

I have sent an email to the P2 asset support system.

I have not done any firmware updates so far and I have not run into an operation time issue.
When I last checked I was at 15 hours so it would be telling if someone who did the firmware update and had around 20 or more hours ran into the same problem.

Maybe someone pulled a fast one, and swapped their camera for yours.....
No, it's the same one. Same serial number. And I have a small sticker that I hid somewhere on it. Still there!

And as I said, the camera wasn't even released last June.

I got an answer from them. They are investigating what could cause this strange phenomenon and will contact me next week.

I got a first answer from Panasonic. They said:

Hello again Sylvain,
It so happen I just received an email from the factory this morning saying they have had similar complains as well.
They think it is a bug in the counter software and are working on a fix.
As soon as I hear from them I will let you know.
Thank you for you patience.

I got a final answer from Panasonic Canada.

They received information from the factory on how to correct the issue with my camera and asked me to take it to their service counter.

I'll do that shortly.
