Please be very careful when ordering anything from REDSTAN - Anamorphic Solutions who make/sell clamps for anamorphic lenses.
I ordered the 72mm front filter clamp from Alan Doyle, the owner of the business. I wanted to buy through his website www.redstan.com and it said for weeks in stock yet when I go to order it then says not in stock - instead I contacted him via ebay (his ebay store - http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/redstan-theman) he said they were in stock and to email him privately so I did. His communication is quite erratic to say the least and he requested I send a Paypal payment privately to him, so I did.
Now a few days after payment, I emailed him and asked if the clamp had been sent. No reply. So I resent the same email. A week later still no reply. I waited and waited, now 3 weeks since I paid, no clamp and still no reply, so I had no option but to initiate a PAYPAL item not received dispute, so I did.
Still no response from Alan/Redstan, so I escalated to a claim. Now he FINALLY responds, but in such a rude and nasty manner. The guy has no idea how to be friendly and helpful customer service and the other issue is why is his personal Paypal account in the name of Charlotte Palmer. If you search on Google, it appears others have had a similar treatment by Mr Doyle.
This message is in no way to troll or stir trouble but just to share a 'user experience' of corresponding with this person. You decide whether you will buy form him or not as I am sure others have been treated well. Cheers
