Best Western Film...

Okay...I just finished watching OPEN RANGE. EXCELLENT FLICK. It got reviews from this thread for a reason. I could go on but most of you already saw it. Definitely 8 or 8.5. It would have been rated higher, if not for the schmaltzy stuff between Annette Bening and Costner...
 
When it comes to westerns, anything with Clint Eastwood works for me - John Wayne doesn't. Sergio Leone + Clint Eastwood = good stuff. I grew up watching the Saturday Mantinees on TV. A Clint Eastwood western every week.

Didn't care for Open Range. A little too sappy for me, plus it had Kevin Costner.
