Best way to get 1.75:1 from the DVX?

I am pretty sure it would be in post, but I am not sure how I would go about doing it. Should I shoot 4x3 and frame for 1.75x1 or should I shoot squeeze and then crop? data loss isnt too big of a problem, since I will be uprezing. Another thought was just to custom cut a 1.75:1 mask and put it into the filter holder on my mattebox.
