Best tripod head / plate for GH1 + Adaptor + big lenses?

So I've finally received my Novoflex adapter and promptly mounted my 105 1.8 Nikon, (needless to say, I'm quite stoked )

However now I have to think to a suitable platform to support the whole thing, the 105 being heavy, and the 180 2.8 being 30 cm long (w/adapter) and still nicely heavy...
What could I use as a connecting plate to the tripod, and which I could use to support at least the adapter (in order not to strain the camera flange itself)?

This is the problem I'm trying to solve - i.e. how to fix the camera to a suitable head, while supporting adequately the GH1 - Novoflex - lens combo, and allowing for control of aperture ring + focus...This lens, along with the 180 2.8 are my two concerns for size & weight (granted, not like the Red Rock primes...).
Have had a look @ Manfrotto, etc, but the plethora of models and characteristics just beats me (consider that I don't have a fully stocked store in my vicinity, which makes things that more difficult....).
