best steadicam for 7d

i will be shooting shorts and mostly sports. i have been messing with a friends glidecam 2000 and that seems to work real well. anyone have any other suggestions as to a reasonably priced steadicam (~300$) or less
 
Steadicam is a brand, stabilizer is a camera support sold by companies like Steadicam, Glidecam, and others.

To my knowledge there is no professional quality, new, product in that price range. Many people like the Blackbird, but it does limiting features such as no Vest/Arm upgrade support. You are pressing your luck with off brand knockoffs from other countries. Especially with sports being a need of yours I recommend research, research, research. If it takes 30 minutes to adjust every time you set it down or move you zoom range is that money saved worth it?
