It's near years end. Lets hear what DVXusers think of what "The best product of the Year" is?

EDIT:
Lets have vote for best product of the year AND best product you bought that made a difference to you.

For me Product of the year most likely goes to the Sony FS7 as it will make the competition have to keep up spec wise.

Personal bought product of the year for me is the Gh4. It's just a little beast that delivers. People have complained about color science and skin tone, but I'm not having issues with either after grading.

I was excited by JuicedLink's Little DARling, except it is still in development.

Then Tascam announced the DR-10c & DR-10x. But the DR-10c has been held up due to (nearly all but confirmed) a patent dispute with Zaxcom. And the more I thought about it, I want to wait to see if they update the DR-10x with P48v, at which point I'd buy one in a second.

With those unreleased, my vote would go to the Sony FS7.

Sony took all the best parts of the FS700 & got rid of all the horrible design elements & made a really great camera that is ready to use out of the box (at least on paper, as I haven't shot with one yet).

Though I don't own one yet...I am pretty excited about the Letus Helix...and now the Helix Jr. I love that you can dutch roll with the joystick. Now if they enable face detection on the C300 Mark II...that would be a tasty combo.

Also...I haven't seen a ton of coverage on this...but I definitely dig the Arri L5-C lights. They are super light, DMX controlled, and very versatile.

I was pretty excited by the Andra Motion Focus system announced at NAB... then I saw the price tag. But what a cool idea.

Personally, I really like the P360EX LED lights that we bought. Super small and light, low draw, and a surprising amount of punch. Traveling for interview shoots has never been so easy.

Products like the Nebula 4000 will be a gamechanger for those living in the sub $1000 market, for that segment that doesn't consider themselves videographers, but want to make something better than the guy on the street.

I forgot about the Andra Motion System...that did look cool. Haven't really heard anything else about it though.

Best camera of 2014 is undoubtedly the Sony FS7. I own number 0076. Runners-up Arri Alexa65, Sony A7s and GoPro Hero Black. What's not to like about any of those?

Lots of kit has caught my eye, DJI Ronin, Atomos Shogun and Zoom H6 and the Sony UWP-U11 wireless microphone - so idiot proof even I can make it work.

Next year, I'm hoping we see some affordable remote phosphor lighting solutions.

Off the top of my head:

Arri Amira

Runners up:
- Cooke and Master Anamorphics :)
- Firecrest IRND filters
- Convergent Design 7Q+ (whenever they get the LUT aspect working)
- Camtec's Uncoated Ultra Primes
- Red's Interchangeable OLPF system

Hey...what about the Cion...hmmm...nevermind...looks like thats 2015 :)

Amira! Yes! Can't wait to get my grubby mits on one.

Just in under the wire, and when we see it, I hope the Cion will be on the top of my list for this year

Well from the tests I've seen thus far. I have an feeling that the new Cooke Anamorphics might just be the prettiest lenses ever made. Which is a pretty big deal.

As for a product I've bought... I think I'll have to go with my remote phosphor Area48 lights. They really are game-changers, and allow me to light with a level of speed and control that simply hasn't existed before - and with constantly shrinking budgets, tools that allow me to get the same high-quality results with less manpower are a godsend.

Best personal product of the year is the Sigma 50mm f1.4 Art lens. The image quality coming out of that lens is unbelievable, and the price can't be beat.
