it comes with MB for Editors 2

if u buy from ebay and being in Canada there are even more chances of getting scammed.

have someone in NY buy it 4 u, so that u qualify 4 the rebate.

what do u guys think of this http://www.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?sku=PNAGDVX100B#

it's weird 'cos the 100a used 2 b $3100, minus rebate = $2600
but as soon as the 100b came out everybody jacked the price to $3500,- Rebate= $3000 so now it's just as much to get a B than an A.

they might have some specials at DVExpo next week, last year they had the 100a 4 $3199, for like 3 days only, but then again Cali taxes suck a$$

Everyone raised their prices becasue there are hardly any 100a left. Everyone's supply was sold at the end of october when the rebate supposedly ended. I bet if you ordered a 100a from buydig, or any other place really, they'd probably just buy it from B and H and tack on a hundred bucks for being the middle man. They sell for 3400 and they an official dealer.

I don't think everyone raised their prices; I only recall Willoughbys raising (from being the cheapest, to being one of the most expensive dealers). Now, the only dealer you can purchase it from is B&H. I'm not sure why Unix says that after the release of the 100b, the prices of the 100a has been jacked up, because it seems to me like the price listed at B&H has remained the same -- it's remained the same before and after the 100b was released.

Thats what im saying. B & H's prices have remained the same because i think they are the only store that i think actually has em in stock.

bottom line: there arent many new 100a's left out there.

hey Rush. Great, i got your attention! :) Yeah, so i am basically ready to buy, the best bet right now is with you and evsonline, but a few questions first, i'll message ya!

Yeah I hear you, EVS has the "nice" thing down pat, but we're not gonna get "cool" for another 3 years

But we're on the standby list, though, at the ASC, keeper of the "Cool Reseller Directory", waiting to get put on...

I keep telling the owners we need to stock some 35mm roll film so we can become "Film Resellers" and get on that list faster. :)

Hi Guys,
I am not a profesional . I love to have AG-DVX100B but I don't know if it would work ( editing) on regular home pc and burn to DVD or it need to have a special editing machine or special software to do it?? I know this is a profesional camcorder.
Thanks in advance.

It works just like a regular camcorder. Firewire out to computer. The only problem you would have is shooting in 24pa. You need editing software that supports it.

Yes, fj, to edit in native 24pa you will need advanced software like Final Cut Pro or Avid Pro, but to simply view 24pa and edit non-natively, you don't. It is on tape in a way that it can be viewed on anything NTSC, and edited with simple over the counter Best Buy software. You will not have full control, and you will see some strobing, but you can still do it. Also it has other modes that will work fine and not strobe, like 60i and 30p, even though those take away from its film-like quality. :)
