Best PP sequence settings for Cineform files?

Hi,

Since NeoScene doesn't come with a PP preset, I was wondering what the optimal Sequence setings are for editing and grading these files. Utilizing the full 4:2:2 colorspace and all.

In After Effects it's possible to work in 16bit mode, but I can't find a similar setting in PP.

At the moment I have the following custom Sequence settings:

General
Editing mode:HDV 1080p
Timebase: 25,00fps

Video Settings
Frame size: 1920h 1080v (1,0000)
Frame rate: 25,00 frames/second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels (1.0)
Fields: No Fields (Progressive Scan)

Audio Settings
Sample rate: 48000 samples/second

Video Previews
Preview File Format: I-Frame Only MPEG
Maximum Bit Depth

That will be fine, it's basically exactly what I use, as well. Just be careful not to include any of those I-frame previews in your final render.

You lost me here. What do you mean by this? Does the preview quality have an effect on the rendered file?

Thanks for replying. I use the I-frame only for previewing, not final render :)

I use Dynamic Link between Premiere Pro and After Effects (where I do my grading). I just want to make sure both projects are in 16 bit mode.

In AE I can set the project to 16b, but I can't find the same setting in Premiere Pro (CS4). Or is that what the 'Maximum Bit Depth' setting will automatically do for me?

by not including I-frames in final render/output, do you mean you need to delete your render files before you output?? I asked on another website and they said it should have no impact on your final render.

Any feedback welcome!
