Best possible quality DVD from Minu DV

Hello

I know this must be the dumbest question, but I am editing a wedding shot in MiniDV, I captures the material from the camera with FCP. I have forgot what is the best way to make a DVD out of this, what should I do to make a DVD with the best possible quality? the FCP editing is 40 minutes long

Export a Quicktime, self-contained, using current project settings.

Quit FCP.Open Compressor, drop the movie file in, and select the presets for DVD, best quality, 90 minutes (it'll require both selections as one is for video and the other is for audio).

Bring the two files that result from that compression, into DVDSP.
 
Thanks, my compressor and DVDSP are not working well, I need to buy these programs. can i get a decent result with roxio toast? how should I export the file etc.?

I finally got compressor, whwn converting the file , is telling destiny will overwrite the original file unless i change one of the two names and destiny. Well, I changed, I have choose a different destiny in the movie user´s folder and I still get the add, is this a problem? something that wont allow me to go to DVDSP?

Best Quality 90 minutes will give you a nice image. Even though most people will not be able to tell the difference you can do better than Best Quality 90 minutes. I adjust my setting based on the each projects time. It is best not to go much above 8.3 Mbps as some players/burners do not support that high of a bit rate but the DVD spec goes up to 9.8 Mbps. The DVD Best Quality 90 minute is 6.3 Mbps. I general use 6.9 to 7.5 for content well below 90 minutes.
