Hi all,
I just successfully finished testing to disable agc with a hardware disable hack as follows:
- MP3-player with agc disabler sound goes into input1 of my H4N
- Rode NTG-2 goes into input 2
- From H4N via line out/headphone out with a Sescom attenuator cable into Mic-In on my GH1. (The cable has an extra plug-in attached for your headhones)
The H4N is set to record Stereo obviously.
The left channel will carry the to-be-deleted-in-post agc disabler sound and the right channel my to be used NTG2-sound.
The H4N starts outputting even in record-ready mode, so if the GH1 can record fine qualitly I wouldn´t even have to actually record with my H4N.
And it workes smoothly! I now can record sound in-camera. So the question is:
What´s the latest on how high a bitrate etc setting one can glitch-free apply to the firmware?
Thanks alot!
