I'm shooting a low budget talk show that's suppose to have that standard Tonight Show type look on several Canon C100s (which I've never used). Which C100 picture profile should I use to get a nice look, but pre-baked and ready for editing?
I would not recommend EOS Standard. I find it quite over-saturated and ugly.
You might try making a standard rec 709 (HDTV color) profile. Check the manual but under both gamma and color matrix, you can choose from normal 1 to 4. These are just various flavors of standard HDTV color. We do cheap internet streaming shows a lot, and we use Normal 1 gamma and color matrix, we drop the black pedestal a few notches, and kick up saturation few notches. I don't have a c100 in front of me, but it's possible cp1 is just a normal-1 based profile.
