I run dual system with h4n and a Octava mk12 shotgun, and ecm-77 lav but I am getting tired of pluraleyes, why does it have to put the syned audio in 400 new sequences one for each clip named something useless? If I organize and name each video clip on disk when I sync that work is all then useless cause I have to go back rename 200 syned00X clips and copy paste the footage manually into the timeline. Plus I can't double click to open the synced clips cause they are stored as sequences now. I'd much rather the clip audio automatically gets replaced.

Don't get me wrong, the Auto syncing is absolutely amazing, but I'd much rather new duplicate clips with same names be created with a new audio track attached. Then I wouldn't be looking at on camera mics :)

How are these video mics compared to professional balanced mics? are they noisier with less dynamic range or anything?

Yes, but for some stuff I don't care as much. I will use my h4n with a octava balanced xlr shotgun and sony ecm-77 wired lav for 90% of stuff.
