I just got my new GH2 and promptly was floored by the image quality. The detail and color is unbelievable. I have a 5d, GH1 (hacked) and a Canon XF300 and the resolution of the GH2 seems comparable and at times better than even the XF!!! I was stunned and ready to sell all my other cameras. Alas, I found one big problem, when I tried to film a field of very green grass, and a wide shot of trees, and the like with the 14-140 lens the image seemed to lack detail and pizazz, much like the GH1 would choke flounder and look like DV in these situations. When there was a lot of blue like a nearby bay the GH2s seems happier. Maybe I had to stop it down too far, or maybe the 14-140 is not so great at the wide end, or maybe its the codec/bandwith with the really complex scene of grays and greens. My XF300 after all is 50mbs. Or perhaps a wide angle with the GH2 would work better, say the 7-14? Any suggestions? By the way, though I don't post much this forum is a great help and much appreciated.
