Best lens for baby videos

Hey guys, I posted this over on Photography on the net but figured I'd go after the film crew here.

I currently have the following:

T2i
50mm 1.4
15-85mm 3.5-5.6
Flycam Nano DSLR
Rode Videomic
An assortment of filters

So, I really like the width of the 15-85mm on video but the speed leaves something to be desired. I just have a hard time shooting indoors with that high F-stop.

I have a baby enroute and was considering upgrading for a new prime ... but there is so much competition in the 50mm equivalent space on the 1.6 crop factor bodies.

Sigma 28 /1.8
Sigma 30 / 1.4
Canon 28 / 1.8
Canon 35 / 2

While I like the Tokina 11-16, I just think i need something versatile for photos + video. I plan on making videos in the coming weeks of my child's birth, the inside of the hospital, etc. I probably don't need full width that i get with my 15-85mm either, at least not yet, it's a baby and won't be running around. Going to be a lot more of me approaching the baby for pics :) When he gets older I will be more interested in something wider that I can run around him with, now I want to focus on DOF and detail shots of all his little growing features

Any suggestions on how to round out my kit with 1 new lens? The 15 sucks at 30mm because the barrel hold is poor and any movement on the flycam or even handheld will cause shifting. If I keep it at 15mm on the low end I"m ok but other than that and i get focal creep which in turn messes with my F-stop since it isn't constant.

babies are going to be difficult to film no matter what
I'd say one of these:
* samyang 35mm f/1.4: one of the sharpest 35mm lenses money can buy, at a very reasonable price; only manual focus, though, so not great for stills
* tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non-VC: range is shorter, but it would be a very nice upgrade for your zoom (not a lot sharper, but faster and with constant aperture)
* samyang 85mm f/1.4: if your baby is grabby (as babies are), you want your lens to be a little bit farther away... your 50mm f/1.4 sounds perfect for this, but if you want even longer reach this samyang is absolutely amazing and at $300 a real steal; again, only manual focus, not great for stills
maybe when you're shooting you'll get a better sense of what YOU think would help you most (aperture, focal length, etc)
