does the departed count?

That was the end sequence of the film right? Where Walberg shot the guy and rat crossed the railing? God that looked beautiful.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

It's not confirmed that the end was HVX200. It was used in the pre-visualization for those shots but I think they reshot it on 35mm. The HVX200 was only confirmed for an insert of a picture Leo DiCaprio is holding.

I'm interested in seeing something shot with the HVX that shows some real talent. Not another one of these film school-esc shorts that showcases potential, but something that really blows you away and in a very professional way. Something you would go to a theater and see. Everything I've ever seen looks - to some degree - amateurish.

Vincent Pascoe's (DP) "Yesterday's Tomorrow" looks very slick. Don't know if it's available yet though.

I've got two features listed on there. the first, White Knuckles, will likely screen three months from now in los angeles. i'll spread the word when we have an actual date. the second, Heart of Now, doesn't go into production until later this year.

and yeah, vincent's cinematography is very polished, definitely check that out. the feature itself looks a little derivative of Crash in may ways -- not my cup of tea.

Arson....that's a pretty impressive list!
IMDB is notorious for missing lots of projects. I'm sure the list is way longer. None of the other films in this thread or any of the dvx user films or film fest films are even listed on imdb.

wow Barry thanks for the link, that is some awesome work, the lighting was beautiful

and yes I know I'm pulling an uber penguin here but that footage is beautiful and its still online, so more people should see it.

Hello,

I'd like to throw my own film into the ring: it's called "Medicine For Melancholy", shot by James Laxton, premiered at SXSW and picked up by IFC Films, now screening at Toronto.

We shot 720p, on the HVX with the Red Rock and an old set of Nikon SLR lenses. The film looks great projected off HDCAM. If you're in Toronto, London, Chicago or Vienna in the next month or so, be sure to check it out:

Much peace,

Barry
