Best HVX fire wire cable I have ever seen!

I bought a QVS lighted 6 pin to 4 pin Premium cable with LED's in it today at Micro Center. It is the tightest fitting fire wire cable I have ever bought and I can almost dangle the hvx from it... It is also 15 feet and was $29.99... I can move around with the camera without problems. I almost thought I bought the wrong cable until I applied about 5 pounds of force to plug it in... It's a solid connection :)

Before I would have to hold my old hvx cable at an angle for it to connect...

Chip :)

Could you please post a link to it on their website? I can't seem to find that part number anywhere.

Thanks

It is the 1394B-15BLL the last three leters determine the LED light color...UPC code is 037229139242...

That cable seems like a bad idea to me if they are all like that.

Think about it. Five pounds of pressure to get the cable plugged in is excessive and will probably deform the HVX's Firewire port. If another cable was loose previously, you can pretty much bet that from now on, it will not make a connection and just fall out.

I think a firm connection is important, but it's true that if it takes a lot of force, (maybe he didn't really mean 5 lbs) that connector will fail before long.
I always tell my guys, if a connection has resistance, STOP, don't force it. My new guy twisted up a 50 ft. YC cable connector his first week. He got the message or he would have been my old, new guy. :)

Gentelmen, if it won't fit force it... Darnnit... Maybe this cable is good for me because it was made .0001 OD larger than the others but that is pretty much the story of my life. :)

It's workin for me right now...

If it's a bad idea for you don't buy it!
