Yeah, honestly, the VI was kind of s*%te. Major pin cushioning on the wide end and when you zoomed, the exposure wide open did change a lot.
They seemed to have gotten a handle on those shortcomings with the VII. I highly recommend the VII over the VI. My VII is better built than the VI,
sharper and smoother to zoom.

Easy way to think about it, just go "up" one lens and that's roughly the same FoV. Roughly. You can quickly multiply a focal length by 1.5 to get closer and there's mmCalc if you need to get specific.
