C100: Best field monitor for C100?

Looking around for a decent, relatively inexpensive field monitor for the C100. First, though: How does the LCD on the Atomos Ninja 2 hold up, and is it enough for the job? I've heard the Marshall 5" LCD is really good, and it seems like a good fit for the C100. It's also under 500 dollars. What are you guys using?

I would wait to see how the quality of the Blackmagic Video Assist is (it was just announced at NAB). Full 1080p screen and does external recording to SD cards so you can get 4:2:2 ProRes. They didn't mention what kind of display panel it is and some people are saying it's not IPS and that the viewing angle is disappointing, but for the money it may be a better option than the Ninja at this point (definitely above the Ninja Star).

I just pre-ordered the BM Video Assist. Should have it in July. The reason I chose it is price at $495, 5" 1080 screen so it should work well as a shoulder rig monitor, it uses LP-E6 batteries which I have a bunch of, and it records to SD cards so I'm not also dumping a lot of money into SSDs or Cfast media. Pretty much checks all the boxes, but we still don't know just how good the screen itself is. Worst case scenario I'll still use the screen on the C100 along with the waveform for judgement calls and use the BMVA as a viewfinder when it's on the shoulder or just as a recorder and for the director to watch.
When I compare it to the other options out there it really stacks up well. Even the Ninja Star at $100 less becomes much more expensive once you start adding Cfast cards to the final cost.

Ninja 2 is absolute garbage for a monitor. Totally unusable. Ninja Blade is proven and gorgeous. BM video assist likely does not have pulldown removal based on their other products, so the recording won't be of much use. But the screen may be good... not likely, but possible!

So basically a useless recording and a screen that probably isn't good.

I think the Sound Devices Pix-E5H looks great but at $1395 is probably out of the OP's price range.

Ouch. I don't think they'd omit pulldown removal in this day and age, but it is something I now have to look into.

I am very happy with my Small HD AC OLED 7". Clients go "wow!". Takes a while to set it up.
