Best D-Tap to AF100 cable

Just received my Lanparte unit with their v mount 130wh battery! wonderful!!!! in fact i am surprised how solid it is, very nice build quality! 1st time when i receive from china and all papers in the right order!

Out of the box i was able to power my : 312 bi color led light, Small HD d1x monitor, and was able to charge my V mount 130wh battery though the unit!!! i need to by a cord/adopter so i could power my pany af101

in order to charge my battery all i need to do - connect my battery to the unit, and plug in the included ac adopter....... its probably going to be a long process, but i think i can do it over night! there only thing is that there is no any kind of blicking indicator for you to see if the charging process started or if the battery charged in full, but battery it self has a check charge button ....

the untit it self has a rods clamp installed, so u can mount it on any shoulder support...

IMG_3585.jpgI cobbled this together and it works pretty well. Starts with IDX v-mount plate P-v257 with dual d-tap 12v and 5/7.3v. http://www.idxtek.com/products/p-v257. Then D tap to AF100 cable http://www.abelcine.com/store/IDX-DC-DC-Cable-for-Panasonic-AVC/

You can buy a rod adapter to attach the plate to. The right angle 15mm rod adapters I found were pricey. I had laying around an old Indie Rails piece that attached to 15mm rods. I got 90 degree angle bracket from the hardware store and attached IDX plate to rod adapter. Covered hardware with black gaffers tape. Not pretty but it kind of blends in. I hang this off the back of rails. Helps with balance for hand held.

Make sure that you attach AF100 Dtap adapter to the 7.3v spigot on the plate. The other side of the plate has the 12 volt spigot that can go to monitor, recording device, etc.

I also have a 4 spigot dtap adapter to power other equipment if needed. Originally I had wanted to power a b-4 lens with the AF100, but after trying several adapters (including a b-4 to Aaton converter that I used with my old Aaton) I couldn't get a sharp enough image with a b-4 lens on the AF100.-- I haven't tried Abel's $5000 converter.

ok guys! there is a problem with my Lanparte - i checked the output power with my TESTER and out of my 7.2V hole i get exactly - 8.35V , i did that check for both : with battery use and with wall outlet use, the result is the same - 8.35V. So when i connect it to my Camcorder AG-AF101 it turns on for a second but then it shows the following message : "This battery can not be used" !!!! again i tried it both and with battery and with wall outlet power - exactly the same result!

does it mean that my Lanparte is Defective unit??? the images that Jerry sent me sometime earlier shows on his tester - 7.97V , but as u see my tester shows 8.35V

any suggestions?

regards

i attached the image that i got from Lanparte!battery pinch7.jpg

in order to fit my fake battery cord into the 7.2v hole i took an extra cord from my small hd monitor (there is a short cord that goes from monitor to small hd 26w battery), 1 end fits 7.2V hole on pinch , and the other end fits all other holes on pinch , so i asked my friend electrician to cut out 1 end (that does not fit 7.2v hole) and connect to the female end ( hole that normally attached to mother boards and that fits my fake battery end) ...

here are the pix where is visible the error i get... its turns on for 1-2 seconds, but then message pops out:

We put together a turnkey kit for AF100/HMC150 which includes both D-Tap and battery cables in addition to the 7.2V converter. We use Panasonic OEM and Anton Bauer parts for a perfect fit and reliable connection.

Does anyone have any quality recommendations for a cable to power my AF100 off a V-Mount plate with D-Tap?

Edit: I eventually made a solution. I posted pictures on page 4.
