Best Buy dumping 5DII's for $2123

Links says $2500 and I'm kinda thinking canon isn't gonna tell best buy "hey dump your 5d mk11's , we got a new camera coming out"

HUH, believe me when I say, Canon tells Best buy and anyother store that sells thousands of their cameras, when there's going to be a new release. They do this, so they can sell off old inventory. and make room and advertise for new. Is that the case here, I dont know, stores have sells for other reasons too, like when they have to much of a product.

Um, that's exactly what happens.

I see the price is back up. I'm surprised it went back so quick, but I'm sure people scooped up a LOT of cams in that time. Here's to hoping for an announcement at the end of august to the first week of september. Really hope I didn't just start another speculation thread...:cheesy:

Not really, That's exactly what happens when you have a product ready for shipment. Not a product that's in development. (If it IS in development)

Now you're going back on your original post. If it's in development? Manufacturers start "developing" the next gen right after the first one is out. It's an always on-going process. There is no, "Ok, we got XX camera out, time to sit back and do nothing for a year before we start working on the next one". Either way, I'm not here to argue with you...
