best budget alternative to hv40/hf s100?

hey guys help me out here, my choice is between hv40 and s100, but if i fall a biy short with cash what are the best options.........of course i want a decent 24p mode and some manual control and decent low light perf.

looked at the hf 20/200 and hf10/100..........are those my best bets?......not stuck on canon either btw

the 200 was not very impressive in low light i must say, please help......be using it for music vids, short films, features etc, that will be pushed toward festivals.

well seems hf 10/100 may be my budget baby, anyone have any thoughts on recording the audio through the internal camera system.......in other words using beachtek/boommic as opposed to separate audio?
