Berger Canon EF to Sony F3 Lens Adaptor.... Who has one ... Is it out yet ?

Really like the fact that I can make all adjustment wireless or tethered..
I have spoken to reps at Berger but no solid answers about availability..
Does anyone have one to show and tell ?
Would really like to know more about it.
Thanks

Keep up the pressure on Metabones. But I'm not very confident of it happening. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Birger is very old news. And even had they brought a product to market, it would no doubt have been priced around the same point as Optitek.

Ned, Do you have any F3, F5.... mt cameras are out there compared to the number of Black magic or NEX mt video cameras?

I'd like to impress upon Metabones that they will probably sell an adapter to nearly everyone out there who owns F3 type cameras, but maybe that market is smaller than I realize. Having never even seen a Blackmagic in the real world I have no idea why they chose to make that adapter but not for the F3.

I really don't have Sony F numbers. But I suspect there would be manufacturing concerns on their end with non-standard mount, perhaps electronics... Lots of things go into engineering decisions and I just suspect the math doesn't work.

We were rather far down the road of building a high-end solution for EF lenses. Electronics, challenging mechanics, etc....options for LCD display, wireless, internal ND filter wheel....
All I was hearing as we were spending tons of money getting a great solution together was "It's too pricey....."

I cancelled the project. Simple. If the market wants cheap stuff they get cheap stuff. Personally, I want my gear to work perfectly so that I can pay attention to the job I hired for. Not being snarky, but I have been there with gear that is 90% great - and I was frustrated, distracted, missed shots, clients were scratching their head while I am fussing with the camera, etc....

Thank you guys!!
I'm just posting to let you know we are alive and well.
This is definitely " calm before the storm " scenario.
We have something absolutely spectacular coming down the pipe line.
I don't want to get ahead of myself here and will let you know as soon as the Mark2 version is ready to ship.
Looks like this coming week will be changing things for the better for the F3/5/55 owners...

Ok I'm intrigued, guess I'll hold off on buying my optitek for another week or so then.

No need to delay ordering- we've been into mark2 orders for a few days now...

If people are ordering without a price or description it must be spectacular.

Duke, thanks for the info.

Ryaninoz, I am with you I would like to see what it is about prior to any ordering. And I am within days of ordering a mount.

Optitek (jacek), If you could send us a link? I will send you an email. (Email sent)

Sorry- small correction.
The customers don't know they are ordering the mark2. They are ordering the current version.
We'll ship the mark2 to them when availabe.
We are little strange that way- no big announcements or marketing campaigns. Just delivering the newest , best asap to customers. This is how we roll:thumbsup:
