Being Disjecta

disjecta

Lucky Duck
Most of you have seen this in the competition area but I'm posting it here again for two reasons:

1. Some people just haven't seen it.
2. I did some significant editing on the 2nd part (with the kids) and I think it's much tighter.

What you see here represents Acts 1 and 2. I'm currently working on Act 3 which will bring the actual story to a conclusion.

Anyway, enjoy it.

Re: Being Disjecta

Simply wonderful!

It's nice to see some people in your work.   :)

Your editing is great.

I can't wait to see the third act.

Re: Being Disjecta

no matter how many times i see it it still cracks me up! Disjecta, you need to make a 'how to....' dvd. I'll be the first one to buy even though i don't own a dvx anymore. :D

Re: Being Disjecta

glad you broke the wall down and let us inside your world. great work like all your stuff. want more.

Re: Being Disjecta

Enjoyed the contest edit very much, but this is even better. Great work as usual.

Hey, Ronik. How did you watch that and post approval in only 2 minutes? Hmm, must be using timelapse ;D

Re: Being Disjecta

Oh Great Disjecta,

It's no secret that in the DVXUser world and beyond, you are considered a being of supernatural powers. One with omnipotent attributes whose mere mention commands colossal attention.

Given such a privileged status, surely you must feel a small responsibility to sprinkle some of your magic upon the rest of us who reside in your domain. The great Barry Green enlightened us with his book and DVD. Is it not time for you to give us the same detailing your signature look?

We await your thoughts with high anticipation.

Re: Being Disjecta

Bravo...Bravo... Those little refinements you made really kept the pacing popping!!

Re: Being Disjecta

Not sure I needed the extra clip in the beginning though.

You had me the first time with the bird droppings. Didn't need to hit me TWICE with the same concept in this edit... plus I thought it hung on just a little long.

Maybe if you had a closer shot you could cut to pulling off your shoe... you seemed to get caught up with the rain poncho and the wind. But then again, I'd cut that out anyway.

Good luck,

I still love it... and those walls are KILLING me!!

Re: Being Disjecta

Thank for posting this! I hadn't seen it until now.

Absolutely great work! I was completely absorbed from beginning to end. Excellent job!

Re: Being Disjecta

Thanks for the comments, guys.

CaptainMench, I completely agree with you on the scene with the power washer, it was an experiment but didn't add anything to that part of the film. It was a gut feeling everytime I saw it so I ended up cutting it out and it's fine without it.

Thanks for the input.
