Footage from an end of the summer road trip to the Isle of Wight, shot on DVX100B, 25P, no adapter, basic CC in premiere.

It was good fun we got to ride around the island in a beautiful little volkswagen beetle.

Sure, if you are in the front seat. That back seat of a bug is an entirely different story

Other than that, yeah, I bet it was a blast. The Island looks beautiful.

yeah, plus this one's engine was a bit buggered and was pumping engine exhaust fumes into the car, needless to say we all had headaches and felt pretty sleepy, but hey that's what the beach is for!

Hey i really like your camera settings. Can you explain?

Most of your shots were nice, and well handled. Your friends will really enjoy this!

What was the flickering through out the video?

Im confused. if you shot in 25P how come there is virtually no strobing? The DVX book says you have to pan slower than molasses but there were many shots in there where the camera was moving fast and I didn't see any strobing.

Does it just look worse in the viewfinder?

Camera settings are all PAL default. I just did some colouring with premiere's basic colour corrector, magic bullet - added contast & de-saturate a little, warmed it up etc. - the usual.

I'm waiting to get my hands on an sgpro r3 before i move into the world camera scene file adjusting.

Anyway, here's a few before/after stills if you're interested...

sorry yeah, i did add a little flicker effect with magic bullet just to give it a more classic, timeless quality, not sure if it helps or not really?

yeah i mostly shot quite high shutter like 1/120 & 1/250 i think. it helped that the natural sunlight was so nice and bright so i didnt always have to shoot open, i tried to keep it at around f4.0 because i remember somebody a while ago saying that it gives you the sharpest images? it was all handheld i didn't have room to take the tripod this time.

No, from memory it looked pretty good in the viewfinder & lcd. i shoot in squeeze mode & import into a 25P 16x9 project and export using DV-AVI, then encode my files to .mp4 using megui. i think this process produces really clean, sharp & small files.

glad some of you like it
