Hey thanks for the sound info. I was pretty sure we were listening to some high end gear...now I guess I know they're worth it.

With the cos11 it’s the same as with every tool. It helps to have a good one but you need an expert for the potential. It’s a clear demo what an audio technician can make a difference. Btw there is a group on Facebook „Lavalier mic hiding techniques“ I learned a lot from these guys.

Don't you know it. Shot a live show, Covid style, last weekend, and needed to mic a singer with a soft voice playing a very loud Resophonic and try not to ruin either with the two mics we had (the Res was louder than she was in her vocal mic when we started), no room in the building for a sound person or even an assistant...just me and her. We pulled it off (recording went better than the streaming, fwiw). Will post it in the next few days once youtube gets done processing it...(10 hours and counting and it's still 360p).

I'm making it a mission to brush up on my sound skills during the down time. I'm pretty good at placing a shotgun, but these wiry bugs are going to be a new thrill, I can tell. I'll check out that facebook group.

There's no contradiction to what I said :) You're an expert and use the tools right.
