Beachtek 6vu or 6a or Juiced Link

I have been scouring forums, and I have yet to find an answer that is not convoluted or confusing. First off, let me state that I am not convinced a magic lantern firmware update/fix will be offered for the 7d anytime soon. Because of this, I want a solution that will remove the auto audio levels problem associated with the 7D. I know that the 6A on the Beachtek does this. However, I am under the perception that there is no way to measure audio levels with this device.

I also believe that this is the case with juiced link? Also, I am under the idea that the juiced link without a magic lantern firmware update will not fix the auto audio level issue associated with the 7D.

Finally, I have been unable to find any information on the Beachtek 6vu at all. From Beachtek's site, it seems that you are able to monitor audio levels using this device. However, does it fix the auto audio level issue? The only other difference that seemed important was that the 6vu seems to shoot for 3 hours on one battery while the 6a shoots for 4 hours on battery.

If anyone, could clarify any of this information, I would be happy. Currently, I am planning on picking up a 6a over the juiced link and 6vu.

One last option we are considering is the Zoom h4n. I am unconvinced of its proficiency as a phantom power device. With a shooting time of 2 hours max, it seems completely inconvenient. However, we do have 6 AA rechargable batteries if necessary. The issue I see with using this method is syncing the audio in CS4. I have heard nightmare stories of audio sync issues with CS4. Are these concerns legitimate? If not, how have you solved this issue?

*We will be attaching a Sennheiser MK 416T with phantom power adapter to whatever device we choose.
