Battery Suggestions?

Hi all,

I am looking to purchase several longer life batteries for my Canon A1. Does anyone have suggestions on which to purchase? I noticed on B&H there are Impact batteries for Canon that are supposed to last around 7 hours. Anyone have experience with these?

Have used the Power2000 and am very happy with 'em. Last about 7 hours. Much cheaper than the Canon batteries.
 
I've been using the Power2000 for a short while, & haven't had a problem either. I've read on this forum & other forum's that the Impacts are good too, so you shouldn't have a problem w/ them either.

But I came to the conclusion that, if I'm spending $3,000+ on a HDV camera, I'm going to use mainly the Canon brand batteries, just to be safe. It's not like you have to buy a new on every couple of weeks, I bought 2 BP970's & those should last me years.

I think it should be OK to have at least 1 3rd party battery though. IMHO.
 
Yeah, I agree. We decided to get 2 of the Canon ones just to be safe. Thanks for the response.
