Battery Storage when Not Using - Then Recharging

I was shooting a project over several months last winter. Then I had a few HD freelance jobs. But in the past month, I have been mostly shooting SD with a Sony for clients and haven't used the HVX for these projects.

My question: Is it okay to "top off" the batteries before every shoot even if they were full from a month ago? And is it okay to store them that way (off the camera)? Should I refrain from charging them after a shoot and wait until I have a new shoot to charge them?

Remember these are Li-ion batteries.

Nothing is really going to affect them.

I use them, charge them, and store them in cool space.
