Battery Operated LCD Screens

Anyone have any suggestions on battery operated LCD Screens that would work with DVX and HVX cameras?

I would like to have something a little bigger than the camera's attached LCD screen.

Any advice on LCD's to look at and LCD's to stay away from would be most appreciated.

*I've searched for topics on this and haven't found a lot that straight out say "This is a good one, this is a bad one etc*

Thanks everyone!

Yeah. those new portable digital TV's and DVD players are a cool option. You cannot count on them for color or focusing, but for framing and such, they are great.

I've had great results with my 8.5" ManhattanLCD display. It's, uh, in between the prices of those two previous posts. :) I opted to get it with a Canon battery plate, but the startup power drain overloads Canon-brand batteries. Canon-style knockoffs or generics, however, work just fine (and are cheaper, and are still compatible with my XHA1). Despite that weirdness, great unit for the price.

Many love the SmallLCD and Ikan brands as well.

Since the suggestions so far are... between $79 and $1799, it would help to know what's your budget?
With that info people can give your better advice.

Probably the four most popular pro monitors are:
Ikan
Small HD
Manhattan
and Marshall (I have one)

If you don't have the budget for a pro monitor, that would help to know.

Also, there's lots of monitor threads in the Hardware section.
Try searching.
Good luck!
