GH4 Battery for GH4 Timelapse?

I'm thinking about shooting an overnight timelapse sometime soon, and was wondering what you guys thought about the GH4's battery capabilities. Should I look into some kind of external power supply? How long do you think the timelapse feature would be able to run before the internal battery is kaput?

you may want an external power supply... depends on the interval of the timelapse. I don't know how long it will run but you could probably get 4-5 hours? Maybe a little more? since you wouldn't be using external screen, etc. and just taking stills.

Cold weather will significantly shorten the timelpase though, so depending on where you are shooting overnight keep that in mind.

I have a power adapter for just that, but I think I got about 4 hours out of a 3 shots per minute and electronic shutter (don't know if that matters.)

I got 7 hours on one battery in my GH3 last winter for an overnight starry sky time lapse. It was 30s shutter speed, electronic shutter, and the LCD screen off to conserve battery. The GH4 uses the same battery so I imagine that its performance would be similar.

Another option is to get a battery grip which holds a second battery. The camera will automatically switch from battery A to battery B giving you twice as long battery life.
