Battery and the SDHC recommendation.

How good are the third party batteries being sold on eBay? Are they as good and longer lasting as the genuine Pana brand?

Also, I'm in need for larger capacity SDHC. Is there a cheap 32GB SDHC that are proven to work well even on the GH13?
Lastly is the 64GB preferred over the 32GB?

I haven't purchased a 3rd party battery, so no advice there.

SDHC cards, however....i would avoid buying huge capacity cards, but instead opt for a few smaller capacity cards. From a card failure perspective, i'd rather lose 8 or even 16GB vs losing 32 or 64GB should the card fail. Having to switch cards during a shoot is a lot less inconvienient than losing hours of footage. Hope that helps.
 
Look for the aftermarket batteries that claim to have Japanese cells. These typically are a few more bucks, but I have always had better luck with them.
