Baseplate

Curious if anyone has found a decent baseplate for a DSLR rig (I personally have a Canon 7D). The issue I'm having – as I'm sure is common –*is that mounting a DSLR to a typical video results is all kinds of rotation wiggle because there are no set screws to keep the camera in place.

I know RedRock sells a baseplate that would solve this issue, but would love to get a solution that doesn't cost $230.

Any ideas/solutions?

You can create a sort of pressure lock by building up strips of gaffer tape on both sides of your mounting screw hole on the bottomside of the camera. Typically, 3 or 4 layers should do it. This is the same principle as you will find with the rubber strips on the Zacuto gorilla plate which also does not have an anti-twist pin.
