GH2 Barska Hand grip mount is crap. Broke first time used

Not much more to say than the title. I know it's only 10 bucks but it's crap. It broke when I was attaching it to the plate on my rods. Don't waste your money. I might be able to superglue it, but it's really a huge POS.


Find another solution...

The $15 Opteka HG-5 is also solid.

And you can't go wrong with an $8 Camgrip CG80269.

You know, with such a simple device described in a full-page ad with 16 reviews, I was hoping to find some really basic information. Like the actual length of the grip and whether the surface is made of rubber or plastic?

How did it break? I've been using the Barska grip since last year with no issues. It's possible you just got a bum one. I'd say exchange it and test the replacement before writing it off completely.

It pulled away from the base and stripped out the tiny screws. i definitetly think I have a bag one, or else I have kungfu grip.
