Ordered mine some time ago and got a paypal email saying sorry for the delay they have not got back from the duplicator yet. Barry are they back yet or what?
Paycheck came in today. Ordered the DVD Tonight! can't wait.
This is my first camera ever. So I'm dying to learn how to work it's maximum capabilities.
Barry I thought I got mine today... My son brought in the mail tonite since it was delivered at 5:29pm. The Package was flat as a pancake. It had 3 Priorty Mail stickers placed in the shape of a "L" on the back side. The flap was secured. I'm thinking you wrote one thin book. I opened the package and there is nothing inside. The contents have been stolen somewhere prior to reaching my mailbox. Looking inside the package you can see the tear in the cardboard type package. Barry, your Ultimate DVD/guide and book must be one "HOT" item. I'm visiting the postoffice Saturday morning. I'm not happy.... Our E-mail is Debie2kids@aol.com
I pre-ordered and I'm STILL waiting for mine. What's the deal? Have Canadian orders shipped late? It never takes more than a week to get something from the US
All orders (up until today's orders) went out. All the internationals (including canadian) went on Monday, so it should have been there by now, or should be there any minute...
Read it all...and enjoyed every page of it....Seen it all and tried to imbibe every shot of it...the BOOK and the DVD are really nice. Congratulations Barry. But I was unfortunate not to get a signed copy....Thanks anyway for shipping it so early, however.
I saw several extracts from the forum threads in the book...and the same sentences being repeated in the DVD....brings in lot of uniformity in the content...and off cuorse meaning... of all the three resources. I think it also appeals so much to the reader becuase it is basically in the same verbatim to which all the members of the forum are already used to, and because it satiates almost all the queries raised in the forum.
I would say the BOOK and the DVD are the 'latest and most useful must-get DVX accessories' for anyone desiring to have the complete set of tools with their DVX cams.
hell the "scene file settings" section of the dvd was worth the money alone. CAuse its hard to find a DVX owner, who knows what thoes do, and who can show you interms of footage. i just got a private tutor

One question though! Is that your house in some of the shots...[/quote]
I plead the fifth amendment... ;D
Most orders are shipped using Paypal's shipping service, which says that it will send you a notice. Even so, most orders are being filled same-day or next-day right now, so you should have it in just a couple of days.
The DVX book and DVD hits Toronto!!!! Was ordered on Oct 31st and got here yesterday. Thanks Barry, just an amazing piece of work, looking foreward to it keeping me up all night!
Received mine in Brazil last Monday 22. Very good stuff Barry! The DVD is very well developed and very instructive, the texts within the subjects are very helpfull in memorization.
It is a summary of most things discussed in this forum and a very good reference guide for everybody in the comunity. Every member should be obliged to ready it first hand when signing the forum!! hehe hmmm..Barry, maybe you should do an online version pdf/.mov acess through account? I think we should create an area for books/guides in the forum as well.
The only thing I though was that it is too short. : It works as a beginner and intermediate guide to the dvx. hehe Looking forward to the advanced edition! ;D
On the next one's we could have cinematography styles/moods reproduced on the DVX, a how to guide on settings, like Matrix, Private ryan, noir, etc.. I know it depends on post and ligth design as well but it would be a very helpfull guide!
