Barry's scene file settings

Hope someone can throw some light on this?
I like Barrys scene file settings for quick access to different effects to suite the actual recording at that particular time.So Ive loaded the scene files from Barrys dvd and all 4 are now on the sd card and available as I choose.
So is there a way that I can keep the cameras default/initial settings aswell for when I want just a little tweak.In other words can i have the camera power up to its default settings and tweak from there rather than, as of now I would read or write one of barrys 4 scene file settings from the sd card and then have to revert back to initial each of the 6 scene files to return to the default setting.I suppose Im looking for a fith setting and might have to forego one of Barrys.
Also are all the 4 user files the same.....and you just adjust to your likeing to make them more personnal to yourself?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking...

You know that there are 4 "sets" of scene files on Barry's CD. Each set has 6 scene files.

You load a set, you get all six loaded into the scene file dial. You load a different set, you get those six loaded in. You can go to a particular scene file and choose "init" if you want to revert back to the default scene file for that place on the dial. Example: You have Barry's "Filmic" sf loaded into F1. You want the default. So you choose "init" and the camera reverts F1 back to the default, but f2-f6 stay as they were.

Then, if you want one Barry's scene file back, you have to load it off of the sd card.

Maybe the answer to your question is in there. S orry, I just wasn't quite sure what you were saying.

Yea thanks ramjet your on the right lines.
Whats happened is Ive had a few years of dvx 100 onto dvx100a and now for nearly a year with the hvx200.
So Ive goten use to the default scene file settings in each of the six positions for a starting point of where I want to go wether Im in a flourecent enviroment or a film cam 25p situation.
So I suppose I want 5 scen file setups ....4 of Barrys and one more of the default ,but I think you can only load 4 from the sd card.
I think Ill try and work around this but thanks for your advice anyway.
Are all the USER files the same and you just adjust to taste?
 
You can have four sets of six scene files on the SD card, with each set in a separate text file on the card. You can load any one of the four sets into the camera, which replaces all six scene files at once.

You can also restore the factory defaults in the camera by using the INITIAL option when changing the scene file settings through the menu. I believe that only affects the currently selected scene file, not all six.
 
Right -- you can do exactly what you want. Load up the SD card with all the scene files from the book, and then any time you want the factory-default scene file, just go to the "INIT" menu option and load in the original factory-default scene file from the camera's ROM.
