Well, I have the HVX and it's awesome, but a bit overwhelming. The manual is of little help. Your Sticky about Focusing is great and it reminded me how much I need that book you're writing. The question is, when can I buy it? Hopefully, very soon.

I mean they've given so much of their time and expertise to the hundreds of people asking them all kinds of questions, why not buy their book, learn more and give them something in return?
 
I'm hoping to put the finishing touches on it by the end of next week, and ship it off to the printer... >fingers crossed<

What do you estimate that process to take, Barry?

Are we looking at (conservatively) the end of April?
 
Dude... any hope for a pre-release copy in, say, electronic format? I'd pay... direct to you :) When that book comes out, it is *so gone*!

Is that only for US, because I would really like to have a copy in the Netherlands? Thanx
 
It will be offered internationally, and I'm 99.99994% done with it, just finishing off the sample scene files and then it goes to the printer...

I've sent a couple emails regarding the book and not heard back.

Just wondering if you received them, and have had the time to respond.

Haven't been that good on following up on e-mails until this thing gets done. Did they go to the fiftv account or the icexpo account? icexpo is older and swarmed with spam so it's tougher to find things in there, but I'll go look...
 
Barry, when the book is officially published do you know if Panasonic has intentions on offering it with the HVX as they do your DVX book with the DVX? And, if so, will current owners of the camera be grandfathered and able to obtain a free copy? (they did this with the DVX???) I say this as I am 2 weeks away from getting the HVX.
