No, actually Barry's book has been around a while.
Longer than I can remember
I did some digging around and actually found a copy of the first printing.

Imagine what this would go for on Ebay!

Oh yes, that's right, printed on Gutenberg's daisywheel printer.

Of course, you realize with that post, we are now going to have a bizillion DIY posts for Daguerreotype view camera adaptors.

Although im a newbie, Barry helped me alot by reading his book and his /ideas/suggestions/discussions on this forum. Hope to see many more post coming from Barry. thank you.

SHOTGUN!
I've already filed a patent for the Dagu35!
I've ripped apart an old accordian and pulled the lenses out of a pair of binoculars I got with my subscription to National geographic. Anyone have any idea why my images don't look like film?

Hey Jarred, is there a place where these videos are going to be kept?
I never got to see John's video due to internet problems at the time, it would be great to be able to keep a library of these, as more people hit the 10,000 mark.

Is anyone else even close?

Hey, wait a minute...did Jarred do a 10K video?

I may be wrong, but it seemed like Jarred jumped from ~6,000 posts to over 10,000 posts a while back. So maybe he never technically crossed the 10k mark.

But in any case, I think a 10k video from Jarred is long overdue. Here's your chance to get back at Barry!

I can't believe you hit a wheel chair... I'm going to see if I can get a refund for my DVX book, I will have nothing to do with such scally-wags.

That was hysterical! Good times, good times.

so i have the very first dvx book?

I'll buy it off you - collector's item.

Barry, can I order an HVX book now and be 1 in the queue? :)

That was funny as hell, I was getting ready to bust out some ol' school break dancing but the boss came in and was like "WTF are you doing on your head!" He scared the **** out of me and I kicked over the speakers so the zombie thing didnt get a chance to scare me.

10,000 Posts--The Hard Way!

10,000 Posts--The Hard Way!

I finally got to see the video today because I couldn't get it to download last night. I could literally see the bandwidth disappear. That video is strangely engaging. Huge kudos to your Mr. Green. Ten-thousand posts and not much fluff. I'm just honored to play in the same band. :)

CONGRATULATIONS!

WOW Barry that was crazy! Really well timed with the popup text!

I always pictured you like 55, in coke bottle glasses with a cord, and grey temples, LOL.

Your look like my ageish (33) but you know soooo much.

Oh well even though I know you're a young dude it still feels like talking to some great white camera wizard or someting.

And I can't believe I got a shout out -- AWESOME!

Thanks for all your help and information -- can't place $ value on what your book did for me alone and then add what you've done for me in the forum ... amazing.

Thanks man!

JAck

Happy 10k Barry!
Your wisdon abounds and is so appreciated.

The video (a classic) proves that pre-production really does pay off in the long run . . .
Thankfully Jan thought to bring along her new production model and we have finally gotten to see footage from the HVX-200 . . . YAY Jan!!!
