Barry Green & AbelCine Present: The AF100 Weekend Workshop

I just signed up for the NYC class, and I'm very excited for it. As someone who is new to this - the seminar is going to be a great experience.

Ugh...such short notice for NYC? I would have loved to gone but with only 3 days notice...oh well. Glad to have gotten to talk with Barry at NAB.

Hey Christopher! Sorry you can't make it. We posted to the course back in March, wish we had gotten the news to you sooner.

Andy

Is there a waiting list, or any other way I can sign up for the Los Angeles Session?
I was really excited to go to this when it was in march, but ended up going to China during those dates.
Thanks!

Wait? What happen to the sign up for the LA workshop? I've been swamped lately so havn't signed up yet and noticed it doesn't seem to be on the site anymore?

Headed to NY tomorrow for this course and so excited! I'm working on my first documentary and this will actually be the first time I've ever gotten any education beyond teaching myself. I figured if I'm actually going to pay, it might as well be for a course that's specifically about my camera, taught by the guy who literally wrote the book on it. I also always enjoy learning from all the other students in a class, and I'm sure it will be an interesting group of people at this workshop.

I was wondering exactly how much gear I should bring. Probably keep it simple? Camera, lenses, mic, tripod and external monitor? Seems like anything more would be a hassle to bring especially on public transportation. I don't even have a place to stay yet and not 100% sure of this, but I'll probably end up driving to the workshop. I'd be happy to give other people a ride if anyone doesn't want to pay for a cab or carry their gear on the subway. It looks like there's plenty of parking nearby. Just trying to think ahead.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow. I would bring the camera for sure, the tripod could be handy but not really needed.
