C100: Bargain C100 Rig !

For those wanting an alternative to $1000 + rigs out there, there is a very doable alternative.

I made this rig for my C100 from various parts from eBay. It has a quick release baseplate, adjustable sliding position and weights for balance. The base plate is offset perfectly to align with my right eye.

Although this is not 'perfect' and nothing is, but for $300 I'm stoked ! In this business the expenditure can become overwhelming so I love to save when i can.

p.s I have not used the Zacuto C100 z-Finder Pro, but all i can say is this Kinotehnik LCDVF is another great cheaper alternative, well made product that just keeps impressing.

Nice! I'm still looking for some reasonably priced shoulder rig options for the C100. Can you let us know the specific parts you used?

Hey BeeHop, does that baseplate take a long manfrotto plate? Can you share a link or a make and model?

Thanks,

any sign of those rig pictures? anyone else got wonderful constructions to share?

Thank you for this. I was looking at the Zacuto since I have one for my 5D but would like to know if anyone has tried the Zacuto and the Kinotehnik LCDVF and let us know what they think.
