Just got my 7D last week and this is my second time shooting with it in San Diego. My gear currently consists of Canon 50mm 1.4, Sigma 14mm 2.8, 7D, and monopod.. Still waiting on 2 more prime lenses and the Z-Finder (which I hope is worth it). No ND filters yet, so highlights are a bit blown out ehh...

Yeah it is not very sharp, I am having a bit of an issue getting perfect focus.. Aside from the focus assist zoom, would you recommend any other ways of confirming good focus? The shots with the trees and flowers were primarily with the 50mm
